Personality: Lucas isn't exactly what springs to mind when somebody thinks "chosen world-saving psychic protagonist guy." It's not the sort of role he's wild about, anyways: he's happier in the background than in the spotlight, thanks. He's far too timid for that sort of thing, really. Yep. Introverted, cautious, soft, passive, meek, a little bit of a wimp... you name it, that's Lucas. A Loid in Ness' clothing, if you will.

Oh, don't get me wrong. He isn't a total pansy. Deep down in the corners of his cranium (directly beneath the duck-butt hairdo) lurks a strong sense of justice and just the faintest little spark of courage. Even if Lucas doesn't always have the guts to act on it, he has a strong moral code and sense of duty. Being the sort who thinks, then acts, he can usually be trusted to have good judgment. Unfortunately, being the spineless wuss that he is, he may not voice his objections to a bad idea until it's much too late. Peer pressure is a cruel mistress.

Backstory: Once upon a time, Lucas lived happily in Tazmily Village with his parents, Flint and Hinawa, and his older twin brother, Claus. He was always the meeker of the two twins, more likely to hang back and admire his brother's bravery from afar. At a young age, Lucas lost his mother due to an accident. The family was going to visit Hinawa's father in the mountains, but the forest they were traveling through caught fire due to the Pig Mask Army. Lucas and Claus managed to make it to a river safely, but their mother wasn't so lucky. Claus turned his grief into a steely determination to become stronger; Lucas let himself be crushed by his. Not only was his mother gone, but Claus became increasingly distant, further increasing Lucas' loneliness. Once his twin enlisted in the Pig Mask Army, Lucas was quite ready to just crawl into a hole and stagnate in depression for a lifetime or two.

Still, even a teenager can't wallow in self-pity forever. Thus, Lucas enrolled in Sumabura in an attempt to get over his issues and stop being such a pansy. Any school that features combat in its curriculum ought to do the trick quite nicely, right? It's not like he's going to face any more drama here or anything. That would be silly.

Anything Else?: Lucas prefers to fight armed with nothing but his buddy Rope Snake and his psychic abilities, but he wields a mean stick if it comes down to it. He's also real good with animals; he's much more comfortable with them than with other kids. Even if those other kids are just animals that have magically transformed themselves into humans.

I know it would be unreasonable to think I could keep a dog in a dorm room, especially if I have to share it with a roommate, but I kind of miss him. If some of the students here are foxes and wolves and... uh... blue two-legged wave-guiding canine guys, then why not a dog? Boney's pretty smart. He could handle high school.

I'm not sure why he'd want to, though.

Oh well. At least I have Rope Snake with me. I hope nobody here is afraid of snakes.
